ReDefiners World Languages Update

At ReDefiners World Languages, our mission is to equip and empower individuals in the United States to be multilingual global citizens. While we’re most known for our classes, we also host several events throughout the year to help foster a passion for multilingualism and multiculturalism.

As we look ahead to 2022, we would like to update the community about our new classes and upcoming programs.

Learn a language for free with us!

In 2021, we offered two free exposure classes, the General English for Adults class, and the Let’s Learn Spanish class. These classes are the result of our partnership with the Children’s Board Family Resource Centers, managed by Lutheran Services FL. The Let’s Learn Spanish program is designed for kids in Kindergarten through Fifth Grade and their caregivers to learn the basics and deepen family ties. The General English class is for adults, and it aims to introduce everyday vocabulary, increase confidence when speaking English, and introduce U.S. customs, practices, and values.

This year, we’re adding three additional free programs, Youth Spanish Workshops, Let’s Learn Mandarin, and Let’s Learn Arabic. The Let’s Learn Mandarin and Let’s Learn Arabic courses are for kids in Kindergarten through Fifth grade and their caregivers, and they allow families to learn the basics of a new language, deepen family relationships, and lay the foundation to become tomorrow’s global citizens. The Youth Spanish Workshops allow middle school students to practice their Spanish communication skills, learn about Latin American cultures, and learn how to better express themselves.

All classes are eight weeks long and free to qualifying participants, and there are locations in and around Tampa. Each class has its own requirements for registration. For more information about our in-person classes, click here.

Learn a language online with us!

Many people create their new year’s resolutions with the best of intentions, only to cast them aside weeks later. Having accountability can help you achieve any goal, whether you want to lose weight, get in shape, or learn a new language.

Getting off track with your resolutions can be frustrating, there’s still time to get back on track and achieve your goals. If you’re interested in learning a new language in 2022, ReDefiners World Languages has you covered! We offer online classes in English, Spanish, Mandarin, and Arabic. Each class meets one hour twice a week, and we offer classes in our K-5 and Adult programs. With our live classes, you’ll learn with real teachers, instead of online apps, so you can practice the language from the first day. With our courses, it’s easy and fun to learn a new language, develop cultural awareness, and make new friends. For more information about our online classes, click here.
