AmeriCorps Academic Tutor
Purpose of Position: Provide 1:1 academic tutoring to Kindergarten - 5th grade students, with a focus on Literacy Development.
Duties & Responsibilities:
● Plan, prepare, and execute dynamic student-centered sessions that follow established
session guidelines
● Conduct interactive and engaging 1-hour tutoring sessions in English
● Record and complete student progress reports after each session
● Submit all student daily reports to program coordinator
● Submit hours worked at the end of each shift
● Complete and submit weekly updates to the program coordinator
● Provide 5-10 minute debrief with caregiver in English or Spanish at the end of each
tutoring session to communicate student progress
● Commit to arriving on time and prepared for each tutoring session
● Commit to regular training and professional development
● Participate in team meetings
● Participate in quarterly team gatherings
● Complete all required trainings
● Complete at least 900 hours of service each year in service
Work Schedule:

Part-time, 20 hours per week, schedule will fall Monday-Friday anywhere between 7:40 am and 6:00 pm and Saturdays; 11:00am - 3:00pm

Development VISTA Member (Position Filled)
The Development VISTA Member will develop and implement development strategies to increase awareness of ReDefiners' educational programs, recruit new members, and enroll volunteers and community partners. They will also assist in the development of a donor recruitment plan, research funding opportunities, and support the creation of donor retention strategies.
Community Support VISTA Member (Position Filled)
The Community Support VISTA Member will be an essential part in increasing awareness and enrollment in educational programs enrollment at ReDefiners. VISTA members will help develop and implement strategies for recruitment of new members, engagement and enrollment among participants, volunteers and community partners.
Community Engagement VISTA Member (Position Filled)
We are looking for a Community Engagement VISTA Member, who will be an essential part in increasing awareness of educational programs at ReDefiners. VISTA members will help develop and implement strategies for recruitment of new members, engagement and enrollment among participants, volunteers and community partners.
Marketing VISTA Member (Position Filled)
The Marketing VISTA Member will be an essential part in increasing awareness of educational programs at ReDefiners. VISTA members will help develop and implement strategies for recruitment of new members, engagement and enrollment among participants, volunteers and community partners through marketing campaigns and strategies.
AmeriCorps Seniors
Senior Literacy Tutor (ages 55+)
As a Senior Academic Tutor, your main responsibility will be to provide 1:1 academic tutoring to students based on their specific needs. We are looking for volunteers who are 55+. You will conduct one-hour tutoring sessions at one of our three convenient locations in Tampa, FL. Additionally, you will have regular debriefs with parents or caregivers to foster parent engagement and ensure the best possible support for the students.
Program Benefits: Insurance Coverage from accident, personal liability, and excess automobile liability insurance coverage for your peace of mind. Qualified, low-income volunteers are eligible to receive a modest stipend as a token of appreciation for their commitment and dedication.

Summer Program Volunteer
As a Summer Program Support Assistant, your main objective will be to support the Summer Program Coordinator and/or teachers in ensuring that students have a safe and fun summer. You will contribute to the success of the Summer Spanish Language Immersion and Technology Program by assisting with various activities, crafts, material preparation, outdoor fitness, and mealtime. Your dedication and enthusiasm will help create a clean, safe, and respectful environment where children can have an unforgettable summer full of adventure and learning.
Blog Writer
As a Blog Writer, you will play a crucial role in creating engaging and informative content for our organization's blog. Your words will help us connect with our audience, share our mission, and raise awareness about the important work we do. Working closely with the Marketing Director and Blog Editor, you will have the opportunity to showcase your writing skills, develop your voice, and contribute to our overall marketing strategy.
