Why Learn Spanish

It is the official language in 22 countries and it's the second most spoken in the United States, where there are 45 million Spanish speakers, plus almost 12 million more who are bilingual. This means the U.S. is ahead of countries like Colombia and Spain, where the official language is Spanish.

Practice the Difference Between “Ser” And “Estar” by Speaking the Language
Estar
Both of these verbs mean “to be,” but they are used in different circumstances. For example, “ser’ is used for permanent characteristics, such as your name, your occupation, your religion, your hair color, and your height. “Estar” is used for characteristics that change, such as your emotions and your actions. This difference can confuse new Spanish-language learners, so it’s worth it to take some time and study this.
