Our After-School Program is divided into 4-week sessions that focus on four different themes: 1. Personal and Public Identities, 2. Contemporary Life, 3. Families and Communities and 4. Global Communities. Participants will be fully immersed in the target language, with English only used to explain points when necessary. Children will be regularly assessed through guided self-assessment and during language practice. Upon completion of our school year program, students are expected have a proficiency level of at least Novice/low (with zero proficiency start). Our program is equally beneficial for children who come from monolingual backgrounds as it is for kids who have parents who speak the target language at home but, have not yet mastered their own use of the language.
ReDefiners’ curriculum is based upon ACTFL (American Council on Teaching Foreign Languages) standards as are our assessment practices.
All teachers are trained and background checked.
Registration is open throughout all sessions; join at any time!
